What is an Innovation Cafe?

Innovation Cafes combine brainstorming, networking and research into a powerful and engaging live group forum.

Each event or series of events focuses on helping participants cultivate innovation by addressing a current dynamic theme that is on the minds of many. Most of our themes deal with web-based Innovation, but the issues surrounding our chosen topics are relevant throughout the entire organization.

Cafe Format

Guided by a facilitator, participants come together in a Vancouver cafe to engage in dialogue surrounding a core topic. Going beneath the surface of the issues, you and your peers have the opportunity to challenge your own assumptions, learn from a variety of individuals representing different organizational roles and points of view and develop a sense of shared meaning.

Guest Mix

Innovation Cafes offer a view into the collective thoughts and experiences of professionals, users and business leaders who represent various roles across a variety of organizations. The mix of roles is critical to giving all guests access to a broad spectrum of views.

For each event, an equal number of participants (typically 4 or 5) are selected to attend from each of 8 role-based groups. Learn more...
